Lisa Smith – Investigator, Certified Fraud Examiner, Genealogist
Lisa Smith, ASCJ, CFE is a professional investigator and certified fraud examiner. Ms. Smith is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and held licenses as a private investigator in Texas and New Hampshire. She belonged to the Texas Association of Licensed Investigators serving on several committees and the New Hampshire League of Investigators, where she served as Editor of their quarterly newsletter and on their Cold Case committee.
Ms. Smith is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and the Federation of Genealogical Societies, as well as the Augusta County Genealogical Society of Virginia and the Texas Bay Area Genealogical Society, where she previously served on their Board of Directors. She was a member of the Clayton Library in Houston, Texas, one of the top genealogical research libraries in the country. Ms. Smith has presented at genealogical societies, churches, and colleges, and is published in the Texas Bay Area Genealogical Society newsletter. She specializes in Greek, Ukrainian, and Swedish genealogy, but enjoys teaching genealogical methodology to everyone.
Ms. Smith began with a career in computer programming moving into the medical field before pursuing a career in investigation and fraud examination. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with an Associate of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Her creative and analytical skills optimize her investigation work and fit perfectly into her love for solving puzzles to obtain justice.
