Lisa Smith – Principal Investigator, Genealogist
Lisa Smith, ASCJ, is a professional investigator and genealogist. Ms. Smith was a licensed private investigator in Texas and in New Hampshire, and belonged to the Texas Association of Licensed Investigators serving on several committees and the New Hampshire League of Investigators, where she served as Editor of their quarterly newsletter and on their Cold Case committee. She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and the Federation of Genealogical Societies, as well as the Augusta County Genealogical Society of Virginia and the Texas Bay Area Geneaological Society, where she previously served on their Board of Directors. She was a member of the Clayton Library in Houston, Texas, one of the top genealogical research libraries in the country. She began with a career in computer programming moving into the medical field before pursuing a career in investigation and research. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with an Associate of Science degree in Criminal Justice.
Ms. Smith has presented at genealogical societies, churches, and colleges and is published in the Texas Bay Area Genealogical Society newsletter. She specializes in Greek, Ukrainian, and Swedish genealogy, but enjoys teaching genealogical methodology to everyone. Her research, language, and genealogy skills fit perfectly into her investigation work and her love for solving puzzles.
